My son Yanni and I are pleased to invite you to support our exciting new board game called ZingaMino™,
a kid-driven marvel from the grassroots of the game industry.
This colorful twist on classic dominoes is literally
“playing outside-of-the-box.” Taken from Swahili, the word “Zinga” means to turn in circles, and that’s just what you’ll do.
Players race to fill four game circles that must connect sequentially. The luck of the draw can bring a Zinga!™ for extra
points or even the win. What goes around comes around in a beautiful balance of strategy and chance.
We have released
our limited-edition first run in small volumes for initial review by friends, associates, community organizations and game
aficionados. It is the product of more than 2 ½ years of quality father-son creative brainstorming and considerable investment
in professional design and prototyping.
Yanni and I formed DYD Games & Toys in March of 2003 after I rediscovered
my love for game development. During the previous school year, Yanni was given a class project to develop a game. “Vamanos
to America” a game about the states in the USA was born, and was met with rousing success by his class compatriots. Working
together on the game and watching the creative juices swirl convinced me that families across the country should play together
more often. It is the goal of DYD Games & Toys to share the fun with everyone.
The board game industry has, in recent
years, experienced exponential growth to become a huge industry. While still dominated by major players such as Hasbro and
Mattel, independent game developers and manufacturers continue to capture increased market share as families look for creative
ways to connect and share quality time. While the major manufacturers are often afraid to risk their robust marketing budgets
on products that don’t tie to a prime-time character license, consumers are often stuck with less-than-inspired results. But
in today’s global market, David-styled game makers can match wits with industry Goliaths. And you can help us meet this challenge
in a variety of ways.
